Bake/Brewhouse. C17 with later alterations. Timber framed and weatherboarded.
Brick plinth. Red plain tiled roof outshot to east. Tall C17 red brick with
black headers off-set chimney stack to east. Vertically boarded doors to north
and east faces. Internally the frame is through braced, has heavy chamfered
bridging joists and a side purlin roof. Large brick fireplace with mantel beam
over and pot chain. There is a large copper adjacent to south and originally a
well house adjoining, this now blocked. Brick floor. The original East Hall
sustained bomb damage during the 1939-45 War and was later demolished. The
present East Hall is not a listed building
