to rear (east) of
Doggetts Farmhouse
GV II
Bake/Brewhouse. C16 origin with later alterations. Timber framed and
weatherboarded. Red plain tiled roof. Gable to rear. One storey and loft.
Internal features. There is a C16 chimney stack with later brick bake oven
to left, this with 2 cast iron doors labelled TAP Denning, Anchor Works,
Chelmsford. A pot swivel and chain are attached to the walls of the chimney.
The frame is arch braced and has cambered tie beams, roof of side purlin
construction.
