SO 72 NE HARTPURY CORSEND ROAD

House; probably C15, later additions. Timber-framing, white-
painted rendered infill, thatched roof, brick leantos. 2-bay
house, 2-storey, upper in roof: later single-storey leanto
extensions each end. Front wall 2-panel high framing, blocked door
on left, with elliptical-shaped timber head. To right two 2-light
wooden windows, boarded door, 2-light casement window, with top of
tension brace beyond. Boarded door in leanto, main entrance in
1984. Cruck in right-hand gable; brick chimney rising from front
eaves. Half-hip to left end, with brick chimney in centre.
Internally central cruck truss, lapped joints: chamfered joists in
left-hand room, large brick gable fireplace, seats on each side,
with salt-cupboard in back. Oven on left blocking original
entrance, with iron door in leanto beyond.
