Two adjoining houses; C17, altered C18 and C19; rough render,
probably on timber framing, tiled roof. Main wing and cross wing,
3 windows wide, 2 rooms deep, 2 storeys. Street front, 3 gables;on
left door up 1 stone step, 6 fielded panels; to right 2-light
casement window, iron opening light, over lintel at ground level to
cellar opening. Set back beyond, canted bay with single-pane
sashes, 2-panel door up single stone step, upper half glazed with
marginal lights, pilaster each side. Square head to low cellar
opening in plinth on left. To right tripartite single-pane sash
window. Above, jetty to cross-wing gable on left, slated, lean-to
cantilevered roof forming continuous porch to remainder of front.
In gable 2-light casement window, iron opening light, leaded
lights: on right 3-light similar over bay, 3-light canted oriel,
flat top, bracket below sill, over tripartite window. Gable with
wide verge and fretwork bargeboards to cross-wing, brackets to
carry ends of wallplates. Two similar gables to main block, but
without brackets. Brick chimneys at junction cross and main wings,
and opposite front door. Left return, painted-brick ground floor,
3-light wooden casement window; first floor exposed timber framing,
no centre rail, rough-render to panels. Down-brace from main post
in second bay: 2-light casement window. Roof hipped to rear.
Interior not inspected.
