GV II

House and shop, in row; late C18. Flemish bond brickwork, stone
plinth to right only, tiled roof. Six windows wide, 2 storeys and
attics. On left 1984 shop front: to right double boarded door to
carriageway, with timber door posts on stone heel blocks: wicket
gate on right half: steeply cambered brick arch. Plinth begins
on right. Three-light mullion and transom window, steep
segmental brick head, iron opening casement. Six-fielded panel
front door, up 3 stone steps, moulded timber surround, consoles to
pediment over; frieze below with paterae. On right similar
window. First floor, two 1984 windows on left, cambered brick
arches: right opening formerly extended down to shop window head.
Two-light casement window over carriageway, cambered brick arch.
On right windows as below, with smaller blind opening over door.
Brick-on-edge dentil eaves. Three gabled dormers, 2-light
casements, 2 on right with iron opening lights. Brick chimney on
left gable.
