Incorrectly shown as Southend Farm on O.S. map.
Barn: C17, altered C18. Three-panel high timber-framing, brick
nogged, gables brick, tiled roof. Double boarded doors in centre,
to eaves, one divided in 2 horizontally. Two bricks left out of
nogging in centre panels to right and one to left, as air vent.
Infill missing in bottom panel by door on left. Second bay, stud
moved for boarded door on right, glazed window left. Left return
brick gable, 4 slit air vents bottom and top, 2 between either side
of 4-pane window. Tie beam exposed, brick above, 2 slit air vents
and octagonal owl hole.
Internally, timber ties at sill level either side threshing floor,
open below, carrying straight braces to wall posts. End bay on
left cut off as stable with loft over, loft open to barn. Trough
and rack remain, but partition between horses missing. Tie beam
trusses, collar and angle strut, 2 pairs purlins, square ridge,
windbraces at ends from purlins to wallplate. Forms group with
house (q.v.).
