Farmhouse; late C17, extended C18 and early C19. Painted or
rendered brick ground floor, brick-nogged timber-framing above:
rear wing Flemish bond brickwork: tiled roof. Three-bay front,
L-plan, 2 storeys. Front: front door off centre to right,
covered glazed C19 porch, side-lights to doorway, semi-circular
heads to 2 lights in sides, boarded gable, decorative bargeboards.
Main posts at end extend to ground level: on left 3-light casement,
on right 3-light mullion and transom window. To right single-bay
brick extension, 2-light casement, cambered brick arch. First
floor weatherboard on bressumer, framing above 2-panel high: two
3-light casement windows set towards centre of 2-bay building, each
in wide panel, thin stud below. To right smaller window as below
in brick extension. Brick chimney against gable of timber-framed
house on right, lower roof to extension. Left return, ground
floor to gable rendered, single-light, leaded-light window right,
2-light casement left: weatherboard to bressumer above, also to
rail, tie beam and collar of truss, V struts apex. Single bay
brick extension left. Three-light mullion and transom each floor,
cambered brick arch to ground floor. Left return to extension
timber-framed truss, brick chimney outside fabric. Forms group
with barn, (q.v.).
