3/208 Botloe's Farm

II


Farmhouse; late C17, minor alterations thereafter, extended late
C20. Square panel, brick-nogged timber-framing, brick plinth;
brick gable on right; extension rendered on re-used old-brick
plinth. Tiled roof. T-plan: original part stem, 2 rooms, 2
storeys, upper half in roof. Facade away from drive: framing 3
panels high in all. Three-light casement on right, originally
with weatherboard over. Boarded door to left, up 3 stone steps,
tiled, lean-to porch roof on brackets. Plinth slightly higher to
left: double boarded door to cellar down steps. Above 3-light
casement, cyma moulding to mullions inside, blocks to carry
weatherboard over survive. First floor 2-light casement in lean-to
dormer on right; late C20 four-light casement in similar dormer on
left. Chimney on ridge to left.
