Cherry Tree Cottage

II

Former farmhouse, now house. C18. Spindly, brick-nogged timber
framing, 3-panel high overall to house, some rendered panels.
Brick oven extension. Tiled roof. 2-bay house, 2-bay extension
beyond, 1½ storeys. Entrance facade: timber-frame nailed. No
openings to first bay, beam at first-floor level a little lower
in second bay, 4-pane window below weatherboard, probably in place
of original entrance. Present entrance covered late C20 lean-to
porch, not of special interest. Gable chimney at right-hand end
of house. Beyond lower extension, timber-framed, access to loft
by external door, steps missing; probably farm building. Lean-to
brick extension on left housed oven, cut-down chimney against eaves
of house. Left return house framing pegged mortice and tenon
joints; 2-light late C20 casement ground floor, projecting brick
stack to left, offset at eaves level, chimney outside fabric of
