SO 72 SW TAYNTON GLASSHOUSE


7/245 Tudor Cottage

II

House; probably C17, enlarged early C18. Timber-framed, painted
brick nogging, extension on right half brick, half stone: tiled
roof. Three-bay house, 1½ storeys; single bay, single storey
extension to right. On right in timber-framed section, 2-light
casement window, boarded door under half-glazed lean-to porch: to
left 3-light casement, boarded door to left, under lattice wooden
porch, with segmental sheet metal head. Small window on left.
Two lean-to dormers above, either side of second door. Chimney on
ridge at right-hand gable; brick chimney at end of second bay.
Left return, boarded door on right under lean-to roof on brackets:
to left brick chimney outside body of house: half gable
weatherboarded. original house 2 bay, extended one bay in timber
framing on left, later single storey extension on right.
Interior not inspected.
