5/7 Gibbs monument,in the churchyard,
about 9m south of priest's door in
chancel, Church of St. Mary

GV II

Pedestal tomb; Thomas Gibbs, died 1807. Stone. Small pyramid top
with gadrooned edge; cavetto, 2 steps to lid, moulded edge.
Fluted frieze with corner and centre paterae; rectangular frame to
sides, oval panel for lettering, thin, stylized foliage in corners.
Moulded top to plinth, square base. Good lettering, mixed upper
and lower case, scrolls to first word. Later inscriptions to 1841.
