Small house: 1848 for the National Co-operative Land Company by F.
O'Connor. Later alterations. Wet-dash render on brickwork, slate
roof. Three-bay front, 16 rooms deep. Centre bay projects
slightly with gable over. Glazed front door, narrow casement
window either side, plain string course to foot of gable;
quatrefoil ventilator above. Plain rafters on shaped corbels at
foot, timber plaque at apex. Two-light casement each side in end
bays. Proportions of openings unchanged but windows and door late
C20. Brick gable chimneys at ends, third at rear in centre.
Originally with 2-acre plot. Listed principally for historical
and sociological interest; forms group with other Chartist
cottages, (q.v.).
