Small house: 1848 for the National Co-operative Land Company by F.
O'Connor, later alterations. Monk bond brickwork on stone plinth,
chamfered top; slate roof. Three-bay front, 2 parallel rear
wings, single storey. Centre bay projects slightly with gable
over; half-glazed front door up one stone step, narrow wooden
casements each side; 2-light casements in wings, all with rubbed
brick arches. Windows and door renewed late C20, windows to
original pattern. Plain brick string course to centre, stone
quatrefoil ventilator over, slightly projecting brick course to
verge, and to eaves of wings each side. Plain rafter to centre
gable verge on shaped corbels at front: brick chimneys to end
gables only. Originally with 4-acre plot. Listed principally for
historical and sociological interest: forms group with other
Chartist cottages (q.v.).
