Formerly 2 semi-detached cottages, now farmhouse. Second quarter
C19, for owner of Corse Grange. Flemish bond brickwork, ridged
concrete tile. Two-room wide, 2-deep, 2 storeys. Symmetrical
facade: dummy window in centre with rubbed brick arch: to right
and left 2-light casement window, small panes, no sill, cambered
rubbed brick arch. At right end boarded door up one stone step,
cambered rubbed brick arch: left end similar but door covered
plywood sheet, no longer used. First floor dummy windows ends and
centre, 2-light casement each side and all heads as ground floor.
Dentil eaves, hipped roof, central brick chimney. Single-storey
stone lean-to to right return. Built as carter's and cowman's
cottages. Forms group with farm buildings and Chartist cottages
(q.v.).
