Shown on O.S. map as Widdale. Small house: 1848 for the National
Co-operative Land Company by F. O'Connor. Later alterations.
Flemish bond brickwork on chamfered stone plinth; slate roof.
Three-bay front; mid C20 rear extension; single storey. Centre
section projects slightly, gable over. Gabled porch in centre,
half-glazed over brick sill walls; half-glazed late C20 door to
exterior, fully glazed door to house. Either side tall single-
light windows, painted rubbed brick arches. C20 two-light mullion
and transom windows in wings, painted rubbed brick arches. Brick
chimney on each end gable, and in centre of rear. Originally with
2-acre plot. Listed principally for historical and sociological
interest; forms group with other Chartist cottages (q.v.).
