Small house: 1848 for National Co-operative Land Company by F.
O'Connor. Altered and extended C20. Monk bond brickwork on
chamfered-top stone plinth, slate .roof. Three-bay front, 2 room
deep, single-storey. Slightly-projecting gabled centre bay: half-
glazed door up 1 stone step, marginal lights to sides upper half, 2
flush panels below, rendered reveals, flat, rubbed brick arch over.
Tall single-light windows each side, small panes, flat rubbed brick
arches. Plain brick string course to base of gable, stone
quatrefoil ventilator above: slightly projecting brick course to
verge. Plain verge rafter on shaped corbels at front. Bays each
side mid C20 three-light casements with soldier arches: slightly
projecting brick eaves course. Brick chimneys to end gables and
centre rear. Listed principally for historical and sociological
interest; forms group with school and other Chartist cottages
(q.v.). Originally with 3-acre plot.
