Monument. 1852. Stone. Obelisk with coat of arms, on moulded
top to panelled square base; moulded top to plinth, 3 stone steps.
Commemorates George Dowdeswell, died 1852, who built house and laid
out grounds. Forms group with house and stables (q.v.).
