Cottage. Probably C17: later extensions. Timber-framing,
brick-nogged or rendered panels, thatched roof: weatherboarding to
one extension, tiled roof. Two bays, one room deep, 1 1/2 storeys,
lean-to extension to one side, gabled to one end. Garden,
entrance front: ground floor framing renewed in brick between
corner posts: 2-light casement left, boarded door on right. Two-
panel light framing to end of lean-to on right. Weatherboard to
tie beam of gable: 2-light casement, weatherboard to collar over.
Left return large, lateral brick chimney, tiled offsets, thatched
roof taken out to it in gable. Right return, low, 2-panel high
wall, 4-pane window left, metal casement right. Set back on right
2-light casement and boarded door in weatherboarded extension.
Right gable: single-pane window in end of lean-to extension:
lean-to against half single-storey gable to weatherboarded
extension. Above ridge, in gable original house 2-light casement,
weatherboard over on collar. Chamfer to main beam and exposed
ceiling joists in room on garden end.
