Cottage. 1848 by F.O'Connor for National Co-operative Land
Company; altered and enlarged late C20. Plain render to stone
walls, on rendered plinth, slate roof. Three room front, one room
deep, with large rear extension (late C20), single storey. Garden
front to south, late C20 small pane windows and door; slightly
projecting centre room with rendered quoins: rendered quoins to
left wing. Fully-glazed door up 3 concrete steps; tall casement
each side: trefoil vent in gable over. Plain verge rafters.
Two-light casements to wings. Gable and centre rear chimneys,
former slightly corbelled out. Large rear extension of similar
height, not of special interest. Forms part of Chartist
settlement: listed principally for sociological and historical
reasons; originally with 2 acre holding.
