Farmhouse. 1848 by F.O'Connor for the National Co-operative Land
Company; enlarged C19, altered C20. Thin, rough render on stone
walls, rendered quoins, stone plinth, slate roof. Three-room
front, one room deep, leanto to part rear, small wing to rear, all
single storey. Entrance front, original half-glazed front door, 2
flush panels below, under open timber porch, 2 posts, boarded
gable, felt roof. Either side single light mid C20 windows,
trefoil ventilator in gable over; plain verge rafters on consoles
at foot. Original 2-light casement window in each wing, small
panes, rendered surround. Gable and centre rear chimneys;
further chimney on gable of added wing on right. Brick stable
block beyond not of special interest. Originally with 4 acre
holding; part of Chartist settlement. Listed principally for
historical and sociological interest.
