Cl7, but very modernised and restored C2O. Coursed rubble with thatched roof.
In 2 sections, one storey and attic to left, 2 storeys and attic to right forming
a curving front with 3 different rooflines, and a projecting modern gable in the
centre. Three and four light stone mullioned casements with drip moulds, 2 and
3 light wooden casements. One gabled dormer, one eyebrowed dormer, tall ashlar
stacks. A randomly organised, picturesque building, largely the result of
restoration and additions by C R Ashbee for Paul Woodroffe, the stained glass
artist (brick curving wing and gable facing Green). The building is partly
concealed by a box-tree screen.
