The Mill House
SP 1620 2/31
Early/mid C18 but very largely rebuilt early C20. Coursed rubble with hipped
Cotswold stone roof. The street elevation is original. Two storeys and attic,
3 windows, sashes with glazing bars, moulded stone architraves and keystones.
Two gabled dormers. The south-east elevation is mostly modern. Four windows, the
outer, 2 storeyed canted bays, the inner 4 light stone mullioned casements. Central
doorway with hood on carved brackets. Two gabled dormers. Gabled 2½ storey early
C20 extension over mill stream has mullion windows and stone slate roofs. Converted
to dwelling. Included principally for historic interest as the old Upper Mill of
Bourton (formerly called Lansdown Mill).
