SO 82 NE LEIGH THE LEIGH

3/79 Woodbine Cottage
II
Farmhouse. C17, C18, altered C19, C20. Brick-nogged timber-
framing, painted brickwork; weatherboarded timber-framing; tiled
roof. Five bays, 1½ storeys, one room deep (bays of varying
length). On left, to road, short length of brick wall, sash
window framed studs, blocked opening. Main part to right, brace to
wallplate on right, eaves slightly higher. Six-pane window;
single-storey lean-to porch, brick base, glazed above, door right
return: boarded gable. C20 wooden window; corner post with
angle-brace to wallplate; short bay to right, eaves slightly
lower, 3-pane window under eaves. Lower, weatherboarded bay on
right end. Parapet gable on left end: square brick chimney one
bay in from left: gabled dormer with 2-light casement centre.
Probably originally 2-bay building, extended one bay to left, 2-
bays to right, extensions all at different periods.
