Probably early C18 but incorporating an earlier portion, see doorway of former bakery;
altered or restored in the C19. Two and a half storeys, ashlar quality rubble. Slate
roof with coped verges, 3 chimneys and 3 gabled dormers. Four windows on 1st floor,
three 3-light mullion and drip type, one similar of 2 lights to left of centre. Ground
floor has a 4-light king-mullion window to right linked to Tudor arch doorway by drip,
raised over door. Early C20 shop window to left of this. The Bank has an elliptical
doorhead with fictive rustic voussoirs. Mid to late C19 bay to left. Battened
doors. Former Bakery retains gilt Hovis sign on 1st floor.
