SP 1634 NW 9/17 BLOCKLEY HIGH STREET
(North-West side)

Dated 1835. Set far back above the High Street, probably formerly concealed by
building to High Street. Classical style. Ashlar. Pedimented front with set-back
Ionic end pilasters and tall arched windows with pointed glazing. Central Tuscan
portico with open pediment, Gothic fanlight and panelled doors. Panel on brackets
over doorway inscribed "Ebeneezer". Oval date tablet in pediment.

School extension to rear (Chapel Lane) with oculus and tablet inscribed "British
School"; segment headed windows, one to south-west retains Gothic glazing.
