(east side)

4/133 Barndown

GV II

House, former reading room. Late C19 or early C20. Coursed rubble
limestone with squared quoins; stone slate roof. 2 rooms; single
storey with attic; porch at south end. North gable end: 3-light
over deep 5-light recessed chamfered mullioned window. Irregular
side elevation to road with hooded 5-light window and 2 small
single light staircase windows; 4-centred arched opening to porch.
Some small casement windows with timber lintels have been inserted
in south gable end.
