SP 1039-1139 WILLERSEY MAIN STREET
14/171 Rex House including railing outside
and wall left
House. C18 with much C20 restorations. Coursed, squared limestone
rubble with tile roof and flat gable coping. Ashlar gable end
stacks. Moulded modillioned wood eaves cornice. Queen Anne dolls'
house style. 2-storeys and attic lit by 3 dormers from roof. The
central dormer with segmental pediment, those flanking with
triangular pediments. All dormers contain 2-light wood casements
with glazing bars. 3-windowed, all C20, 2-light cross windows,
with glazing bars. Central door with 9 fielded panels Decorative
light with glazing bars in form of linked oval and 2 half ovals,
over. Subsidiary features: C19, looped and spear headed iron gate
and railing, in front of house. Coursed, squared limestone wall
approximately 12m long and 2.5m high attached left.
