5/107 Gates and gatepiers to south
east of South Lodge

Gates and gatepiers with flanking pedestrian gateways. Late C18.
Ashlar limestone and wrought iron. Square main piers with moulded
caps surmounted by carved urns on stepped bases. Side piers are
smaller and lower with moulded cap and spike finial. Gates have 2
leaves to main opening with central horizontal scroll panel and
scrolled top rising to centre; small scrolled overthrows to matching
pedestrian gates. Identical to gateway at North Lodge (q.v.).
Lodge house is not of special interest.
