3/1 Kilkenny Barn
Barn and shelter sheds. Late C18. Coursed rubble limestone;
Welsh slate roof, stone slate to west shelter shed, corrugated
asbestos to east. Five-bay barn with south porch and outshuts.
Attached shelter sheds to east and west, east with end return.
Return shed at west end is not of special interest. Gabled north
porch with plank barn doors and timber lintel. Flanking outshuts
with catslide roofs have small plank doors adjacent to barn porch.
Gabled ends to barn with slit vents in gable apex; loft door at
east end with timber lintel. Central barn doorway with timber
lintel on north side, flanked by slit vents. South-facing west
shelter shed is 7-bay with circular stone columns. East shed is
enclosed; end return is west-facing and open-fronted. Interior
not inspected but roof probably collar and tie-beam truss
