3/2 Shagborough Barn
Barn with cartshed. Mid C18. Random rubble limestone; stone
slate roof. Five-bay barn with east porch and outshuts; cartshed
to south end. East: central parapet gabled porch with stepped
bedding to coping; plank barn doors with timber lintel. Flanking
outshuts with catslide roofs; plank doors adjacent to porch.
South end: gable end to barn with vent slit. Three-bay cartshed
attached to end with roof hipped to south east corner; circular
stone columns with tall bases and capitals. Enclosing wall to
east end of cartshed Interior not inspected; roof probably
collar and tie-beam truss structure. A barn typical of the east
Cotswolds in an isolated position. (Photograph in NMR.)
