10/52 Gatepiers approximately 10m
south of Ablington House
GV II
Gatepiers. Probably late C18 or early C19. Ashlar limestone.
Plain square piers with moulded plinth and chamfered caps. Carved
stone rampant lion finials each clasping brass rod, said to have
come from the Houses of Parliament. Late C19 or C20 wrought iron
gates. Stands to south of Ablington House (q.v.) on axis with
formal garden on pposite side of road.
