Detached house. Dated 1802 but rear range probably C17 or early
C18 in part; early and late C20 additions. Coursed and squared
limestone front, coursed rubble to sides and rear; ashlar
chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic; double pile
plan. Front: 3-window fenestration, outer tripartite sashes,
those to ground floor with round relieving arches; central upper
floor bipartite sash; datestone 1802 above. Central doorway with
flat timber porch hood has 6-panel fielded door with rectangular
fanlight over. Three eaves-mounted hipped roof dormers. Chimneys
with plain caps to gable ends of front range. South end: 12-pane
sash to each floor of gable end to front range. Upper floor
tripartite sash to rear wing with two C20 mullioned and transomed
casements below under combining hoodmould. Rear: gable end of rear
wing to left with 3-light recessed cavetto mullioned upper floor
casement with hoodmould; attic casement with timber lintel. Mixed
fenestration to right in earlier part of house, mostly C19 and C20
restored mullioned casements; 2 eaves-mounted attic dormers with
hipped roofs. Inferior is largely C19.
