GV II
Detached farmhouse. c1800. Thin-bedded coursed rubble limestone;
ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Three-storey; 2-storey wings
to rear. Front: 3 half gables with moulded parapets and ball
finials. Three-window fenestration, 2 C19 canted bays with hipped
roofs to ground floor; 2 and 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned
casements to middle floor; 2-light casements in gables, all with
hoodmoulds and small pane glazing. Central parapet gabled porch
with square-headed doorway and double 2-panel doors. Sides:
parapet gables with chimney having simple moulded cap. Rear wings
have scattered 2 and 3-light mullioned fenestration as to front.
Rear: 3 gabled wings, outer 2 with gable-mounted chimneys.
Attached outbuildings at north east corner are not of special
interest. Interior not inspected.
