Threshing barn raised on staddle stones. Dated TS 1806 (inscribed on wall
post). Corrugated iron and C20 boarding over timber frame with gabled roof.
5-bay plan with central threshing floor and rear outshut. Exterior has C19
plank double doors clad in corrugated iron to north-east elevation and single
door to rear outshut. Interior: exposed timber frame of light scantling with
diagonal wall bracing; braced wall posts with hollow-moulded jowls to butt-
purlin trusses (struts removed). Included as a rare survival of a raised
threshing barn, once common in central southern and western England, but now
rare.
