ST 79 SE

The Briars


Detached dwelling. Mid C19. Rubble, coped gables, stone slate roof. Twin Cotswold
gables front and rear, modern glazed extension entrance; central brick stack. Two
storeys, two windowed; two or three-light openings with plain or hollow chamfer, drip
moulds and labels, continuous drip mould over ground floor windows. All windows
replacement lights in aluminium.
An unusuallly neat and complete example of the continuing 'Cotswold vernacular' genre.
