Dwelling and shop. Dated 1748. Rendered to parapet with plain stone coping, double
roman tile; rear wall painted rubble. Plain block with stone stack either end. Three
storeys, two close set sashes top floor, three sashes first floor, all with glazing
bars; ground floor one sash with vertical bars only, left of centre good six panel
door with shallow plain fanlight: all foregoing in deep reveals. Late C19 two bay
shop front and central door. Back of building includes pointed sash with interlaced
Y-tracery and one four-light casement with transom under wood lintel.
Date panel 'W.S.E. ... 48' immediately below top sashes, on square date-stone, with
lettering carved on recessed shield.
