Dwelling, now office and shop. C17. Dressed squared stone responds plus C18 and C19
brick main facade, rubble plus C18 brickwork return to Orchard Street; stone slate
roofs. Parallel range with recent extensions. Two storeys, two windowed, two-light
sashes with glazing bars first floor; broad display window in small panes and one
fixed sash with glazing bars, ground floor. Two panel fielded door set back in deep
painted stone reveal, small hood on consoles; six-panel door in flank wall.
Walls stripped of rendering externally during survey in 1982, revealed bressumer at
first floor, wood lintels, and ends of transverse beams well below eaves level:
doubled beam centrally plus one each end. Now re-rendered.
