Baptist Chapel with
iron railings and gates

Chapel. 1818. Rough rendering, ashlared on entrance front, concrete tiles.
Rectangular block with two wings containing stairs, and low projecting block at rear;
all with hipped roofs, and parapets to front. Two storey, three window plus wings,
arched heads to front and rear, square heads elsewhere, all sashes with glazing bars.
Flush panelled double door set deep in arched opening, with alternating quoins or
voussoirs overlaid on plat band.
Interior gallery three sides on five slender cast iron columns; balcony front
classical panels, painted. Pitch pine pews; pulpit/reading desks central east end,
double stair approach, all painted and grained. Good doors with fielded panels.
Surrounding graveyard contained by spear-head iron railings on front and right side,
include pair of gates and single gate.
