ST 89 NE AVENING NAG'S HEAD


3/22 Nag's Head Inn

Former inn, empty at time of survey (August 1984). Late C17/early
C18. Painted rubble stone, coursed on front facade, Cotswold stone
slate roof with 4 skylights, 2 stone ridge stacks. Single range
with rear extension. 3 storeys. Irregular and various
fenestration, mainly 4 across, with first and second floor windows
very closely set. Ground floor window on far right has large
carved surround with chains, rosettes, cornice and "pilaster
strips" to each side. Entrance on right return with stone cheeks
and cornice.
