ST 99 NW CHERINGTON CHERINGTON VILLAGE

4/69 Nos. 19-33 (odd) with
6.9.54 No. 31 (Pear Tree Row)

II

Row of cottages (now 7). Early C19. Rubble stone with Cotswold
stone slate roof. Built probably as 2 (or 3) separate blocks.
Nos. 25 to 33 on right as earliest block, coursed rubble stone with
3 renewed ridge stacks and higher roof level. 3 storeys, 1st and
2nd floor windows, 2-light leaded casements with stone-mullions,
are very close together giving the appearance of one window with a
broad transom (actually 3 courses of stone). Ground floor has 3-
light similar windows. No. 23 next left has 2-storey ashlar bay
with wooden casements; Nos. 19 and 21 at left end have been
restored to look like Nos. 25-33. 2 ridge stacks on this side.
Doors are various, some half-glazed, with stone or wooden lintels.
