6/190 'Roman' Bath and former changing
room in the grounds of Temple
Guiting House
GV II
'Roman' bath and former changing room, c1790-1805. Probably the
creation of George Talbot (q.v. Temple Guiting House). Limestone
rubble retaining walls probably formerly rendered, limestone slab
steps. Changing room; coursed squared and dressed limestone, roof
no longer extant. Pool rectangular in plan about llm x 8m with
stone steps projecting into bath at east end opposite entrance to
changing room. Changing room about 5m squre with exit to pool off
centre left.
