SP 00 NE BARNSLEY A433, Barnsley Village
(east side)

1/23 Barn immediately west of Church


Barn. Late C18/early C19. Random coursed rubble stone, partially
limewashed, with alternating flush quoins, stone slate roof. Five-
bay collar and tie beam trusses. Large projecting gabled cart
entrance on south side with additionally projecting hipped roof
directly above double timber doors. Cupboard (for grease horn) on
inside of projecting wall to right. All slit vents blocked, square
pitch hole on west gable, small 8-pane fixed light under timber
lintel to right of projecting entry. Opposed entry on north side
also blocked.
