barns immediately west of school)

GV II

Barn. Mid/late C18. Random coursed rubble stone, stone slate
roof. Large projecting gabled cart entry to east with timber
lintel and slit vent over. No doors remaining. Opposed entry on
west side flush with wall, also with timber lintel and with sliding
door. Square vent holes throughout. Blocked door- in right hand
side of projecting cart entry.
Interior not accessible, but reputed to be 5 bays with collar and
tie beam trusses. Originally part of a farm complex which included
Turk's Yard (q.v.), Tallet Steps (q.v.) and Aubrey's Barn (q.v.),
now all separate.
