Three cottages, including former post office. Probably late C17.
Rubble stone, with right hand with door to No 40 in coursed rubble
stone probably slightly later in date. Stone slate roof with 4
stacks, one rendered and 2 brick ridge stacks, and one end concrete
block stack to right. Single long range with partial rear lean-to
behind Nos 41 and 41A, single storey and attic. Five gabled
dormers on eaves (with lower eaves line than rear), each with 2-
light wood casements. Ground floor has 4 boarded doors, 3 with
small single light. To right of No 40, 3-light chamfered stone
mullion window, to right of next door (no number) glazed oval light
in stone surround and adjacent 2-light wood casement; to right of
41A, two 2-light wood casements; to right of 41, 3-liqht iron
casement. All windows with timber lintels.
