Pair of gatepiers, with gate, adjoining curved coped wall and inset
small gate. Mid/late C19. Ashlar gatepiers, square, on bases,
with elaborately moulded cornices and pyramidal caps with carved
corners. About 2.5m - 3m total height, with single large wooden
gate between with decorative turned woodwork. Coursed and dressed
stone coped wall on each side, sweeping down in curve to about lm
in height and then curving forward on both sides for about 3m to
join main line of perimeter wall. Inset on left of piers, before
curve in wall, small timber gate matching design of large gate,
with curved wrought iron support over for wrought iron coat of
arms.
