GV II

Large barn and two former animal shelters. Probably 1790s or very
early C19. Barn of coursed rubble stone with alternating flush
quoins, stone slate roof (renewed c1960). Nine-bay collar and tie
beam trusses divided by internal party wall as 4 to north and 5 to
south. Two large projecting cart entries on both sides with lean-
to between, hipped on west side, and gabled on east side with
additionally projecting hipped roof over original double doors
which swing 180° on original hinges fixed at top and bottom. Slit
vents throughout. Adjoining animal shelter on north west end of 4
bays originally open with slanted columns on bases between bays
facing south. Shelter on south west end also of 4 bays with
dressed stone piers, also originally open and facing south. Both
shelters of coursed rubble stone with stone slate roofs.
