SU 19 NE KEMPSFORD WHELFORD

8/116 Wayside Cottage

Cottage, detached. Late C17. Coursed rubble stone, stone slate
roof, stone stacks. Single range with small rear extension,
single storey and attic. 3 small dormers on eaves each with 2-
light wood casements, outer 2 original and central one a later
insertion. Ground floor has 3-light to left with flat stone arch
and 2-light to right with timber lintel, both in UPVC with
casements/fixed lights. Central boarded door with vertical
battens in chamfered wood surround, with flat stone arch, and with
gabled porch hood supported on wooden struts.
