8/132 Warrens Cross Farmhouse


Farmhouse. Late C17/early C18, altered in C19, unoccupied and
under restoration at time of survey (April 1985). Random coursed
rubble stone with quoins, stone slate roof on outer pitches, double
Roman tiles on inner pitches, renewed stone end stacks with ashlar
flues. Double range, projecting further to north at rear, 2
storeys. Three windows, 3/2/3-light mostly leaded casements in
flush stone surrounds. Similar 3-light to right on ground floor
and C19 square bay to left with 1/4/1-light stone mullion and
transoms. Central doorcase with flat stone hood on brackets, 6-
panel door, top 2 glazed, lower 4 flush, in plain stone doorcase.
Rear facade has three 2-light stone mullion and transoms. One
similar to left on ground floor, C19 bay mirroring front bay to
right, central round headed plain stone doorcase with radial
fanlight and door of 6 flush panels. Additional 2-light stone
mullion and transom to left in extension of rear range. Both
ground floor windows on left have stone relieving arches.
