Formerly pair of cottages, now single cottage. Late C17/early C18.
Rubble stone, stone slate roof with small brick stacks. Two small
ranges at right angles to street with alley between on ground
floor, linked on first floor, 2 storeys. Three windows, 2-light
arched wooden casements each with 6-pane lights, with timber
lintels. Ground floor has 2 larger, with central wooden frame with
timber lintel and iron gate to alley. On far left, C20 door to No
16 with cambered brick arch. Access to range to right of alleyway
now from building on corner of High Street and Thames Street (No 8,
part of Serendipity, q.v.).
