Large barn. Probably early C17, but reputed locally to date back
to 1269. Random coursed rubble stone, stone slate roof with coped
gables and quoins. In 2 sections of 3 bays to south east divided
by partition wall from 6 bays to north west, collar and tie beam
trusses. South west face has 2 flush cart entries with large
timber lintels and quoins, that to right with opposed similar entry
partly walled up in centre of small 3-bay section, that to left
with opposed entry in bay 4 of 6-bay section. On north east face,
cart entry in projecting 2-storey gabled section with double doors
no longer used, large timber lintel and small pitch hole at top of
gable. North west end has catslide lean-to on both faces, on north
east face this is a 3-bay animal shelter with 2 tapering stone
Tuscan columns on bases. Small square vents throughout.
